Hero

In To Kill a Mockingbird there are many heroes. Atticus making a statement in Maycomb with Tom's case and killing the sick dog. Boo Radley is a hero by keeping the kids warm with a blanket, giving them something to look forward to like the toys in the tree, sewing Jem's pants, and protecting the kids from Mr. Ewell. However, to me the hero is Scout. Scout is the hero because she displays internal conflict and how to deal with, a kill everyone could improve on. She also questions adults and makes them think before acting, encouraging them to do the right things. Scout saves the day by breaking mob mentality by doing the simplest things such as just starting a conversation with an individual. Sometimes the biggest heroes come in the smallest, most unexpected packages. I believe Scout is the package in To Kill a Mockingbird.
